Action Needed!!!

Dear Industry Leader:

 

 

As you know, if the Governor’s proposal to sweep $129.5 million from the Workers Comp Administrative Trust Fund, an increase in our assessment will be inevitable. (Click here) For a copy of the press release from the office of the State Chief Financial Officer, Alex Sink. 

 

You can stop this proposal!  And all you have to do is forward a letter to your state Senator and Representative(s).  FASI has done all the legwork for you. 

 

To send the letter, follow these steps:

 

(Before proceeding, print these instructions.)

 

1.                  (Click here) to view the letter and save to your desktop.

2.                  Click on www.myflorida.com

3.                  Scroll down on the right side until you see a box named “Find Your Legislator”:

4.                  Type in your residential zip code.

5.                  A page will come up with Senate and House Districts.

6.                  For Senate, click on the word District.  This will bring up a profile of your state Senator.  Scroll down on the left side and you will see a link where you can email your Senator.  Click on the link, copy and paste in the letter you saved to your desktop in step 1.

7.                  For House of Representatives, determine your district(s) by looking at the second line (State House).

8.                  Click on Florida Representatives.

9.                  You’ll see columns of the Representatives, Party, District, and County.  Click on District.  This will sort the Representatives into numerical order by District.

10.              Click on your Representative’s name and his/her profile will come up with an “Email Your Representative” box in the upper right corner.

11.              Click on the “Email Your Representative” box and complete the blanks, at a minimum your name and email address.

12.              Click “Email Your Representative” and you will see a white space into which you can type or paste your email.

13.              Paste into the white box the letter that you copied to your desktop in step 1.

14.              Click “Send Email.”
